What Ateliroom is

Ateliroom is a marketplace for self-made and small-run fashion made by the people selling it. Buyers purchase directly from independent makers; Ateliroom handles payment, protection, and the platform. Sellers pay a 4% platform fee on the listed price when a piece sells, never more than €25 per sale; the first 25 rooms are founding rooms and pay no platform fee on their first 10 sales. Shipping is passed to the seller in full. Buyers pay a service and buyer protection fee of 5% plus €0.70 that covers secure payment, tracked delivery, and dispute support. Fees may change with reasonable notice.

Selling

• Everything you list must be your own work: handmade, reworked, upcycled, or made to order by you.
• Photos must show the actual piece; measurements must be accurate.
• Sold pieces must ship within 5 days (or your stated made-to-order window). Otherwise the buyer is refunded automatically.
• Payouts release when delivery is confirmed.
• Selling is open to makers anywhere we can send a payout, which today means any country Stripe supports, including the UK.

Never allowed

• Counterfeit goods and fake designer items
• Reselling mass-produced items you didn't design (working with a manufacturer to produce your own original designs is fine)
• Stolen goods or listings using stolen photos
• Unsafe products and hazardous materials
• Used underwear and intimate items
• Weapons and weapon parts
• Illegal items of any kind
• Pieces infringing copyrights, trademarks, or brand logos

Violations lead to removal and suspension. Anyone can report a room or listing. Every report is reviewed by a human, in line with EU marketplace (DSA) obligations.

Buying

• Ateliroom Protection: if a piece never ships, you're refunded automatically. No questions asked.
• Returns follow each maker's stated policy (shown on every piece and at checkout), on top of any statutory rights that apply to your purchase.
• Problems? Support answers within one business day.
